This classic cocktail from the turn of the century will give you wings
This classic gin sipper enjoyed a heyday at the beginning of the cocktail renaissance and then all but fell into obscurity until a decade ago. When the mysterious crème de violette, reappeared on the American market, this sky blue colored cocktail once again saw the light of day. Today, this distinctive floral, citrus cocktail can be enjoyed at home!
1 ½ oz. gin
½ oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
¾ oz. maraschino liqueur (Luxardo)
¼ oz. crème de violette
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake.
Strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a brandied cherry.
