A fresh, unique cocktail from Jillian Vose of The Dead Rabbit NYC
Any cocktail from The Dead Rabbit NYC is worth even the most discerning cocktail connoisseur's attention, and that is especially true if Jillian Vose is behind the drink. Her Rising Phoenix is no exception. The mint of the Fernet Branca is cut carefully by ginger and raspberry as the vanilla syrup compliments the subtle apple and chocolate notes of Teeling Irish Whiskey. This cocktail is perfect for after-dinner and sitting by the fireside.
1 ½ oz Teeling Single Grain
½ oz Fernet Branca
½ oz Giffard Ginger
¾ oz Marie Framboise
1 teaspoon vanilla syrup
Stir all ingredients together over ice.
Serve in an old fashioned glass.
Garnish with an orange peel.
