CRANBERRY CAIPIRINHA
A cold weather take on a Brazilian favorite
The Caipirinha (pronounced kai-purr-REEN-yah) is the national drink of Brazil and uses Cachaca, a sugar cane liquor similar to rum, as the primary ingredient. Rio is a long way away though, and if you can't afford a ticket this winter, then this cranberry and brown sugar spin on the Brazilian classic will make you feel like you're at Carnival.
CRANBERRY CAIPIRINHA
Ingredients

2 oz. cachaça

1 oz. cranberry juice
-
10 cranberries
-
2 bar spoons brown sugar

2 lime wedges
Instructions
Muddle together 2 lime wedges and cranberries in shaker tin.
Add brown sugar then remaining ingredients and shake well with ice.
Fine strain into a rocks glass over ice and garnish with lime wheel.
If desired, freeze large ice cubes with cranberries and use in rocks glass.
