GREEN GIN GIANT
A refreshing combination of cucumber and elderflower
Lately I have experimented with cucumbers more so than any other ingredient behind the bar. When cucumbers are incorporated well into a cocktail, nothing tastes more like spring. This is an easy riff on a Tom Collins that is garden fresh and delicious.
GREEN GIN GIANT
Ingredients
2 oz. Gin (preferably Hendrick's)
½ oz. Elderflower liqueur
¾ oz. Lemon juice
¾ oz. Basil simple syrup
Club soda to top
Cucumbers
Instructions
Muddle 3 slices of cucumber with lemon juice in a shaker tin. Add remaining ingredients except club soda with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass over a large cube. Top with club soda and garnish with a cucumber slice.
