A spicy tiki drink for the winter, or whenever
I was hooked on Star Wars the moment my dad made me watch A New Hope when I was little, and then saw The Phantom Menace in theaters. Decades and a whole new trilogy later, I'm still a fan and decided to make a drink in honor of the classic films. This tiki drink replaces a lot of the fruit you would expect to find in a tiki drink with a variety of spices. These spices are muddled with fruit and herbs for a unique tropical drink that is just as at home in the winter.
THE STAR WARS CHRISTMAS SPECIAL
Ingredients
2 oz. Rhum Agricole
1 oz. Orange juice
¾ oz. Cinammon syrup
¼ oz. Allspice dram
Dash vanilla extract
Dash grapefruit bitters
5-7 sage leaves
Instructions
Add sage leaves, grapefruit bitters, and vanilla extract to cocktail shaker and muddle together. Add remaining ingredients with ice. Shake until chilled. Strain into your favorite tiki mug.
