Worlds collide in this strong and flavorful drink
You might think that Mexican smoky tequila shouldn't mix with bitter Italian amari but this Portland Hunt & Alpine Club cocktail proves that notion wrong. A punch of smoke from the mezcal highlights the bitter bite of the amari in a way that will warm you up after the first sip.
BITTERS & SMOKE
Ingredients
-
1 oz. tequila
-
1 oz. Cynar
-
½ oz. Fernet-Branca
-
½ oz. mezcal
Instructions
Add ingredients to a mixing glass and stir with ice to chill.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with a grapefruit peel.
