FIRESIDE CHAT
When a classic Manhattan gets smoky
Amaro Sfumato belongs to the rabarbaro or rhubarb class of Amari. It gets its distinct smokiness from the maceration of Chinese rhubarb. Chinese rhubarb gives this amaro a smoky taste without the accompanying bitterness of wood tannins like smoked whiskey. The result is a unique and complex smoky and earthy flavor. Combined with Creme de Cacao and mole bitters, this Manhattan is reminiscent of s'mores by the bonfire. Make one, strike up a good conversation, and forget that it's below freezing out there.
